Expats Pay KD41 Million as Health Fees in Kuwait

Forty-one million dinars have been collected from the expatriates in the form of health fees over the past four months, reports Al-Rai daily quoting Kuwait Ministry of Health sources.

The sources pointed the fees for health services collected in cash from April 1 to July 31, was KD 1.352 million, through revenue stamps the figure was 2.571 million and the health insurance fees amounted to 37.192 million.

On the other hand, the Minister of Health Dr Basel Al-Sabah has issued a decision according to which directors of health offices abroad will have the power to extend requests for treatment of sick people at the expense of the Ministry during the Eid Al-Adha holiday in the best interest of overseas medical treatment for patients so the treatment schedules are not delayed.
