Currently, a lot of families are going to the theatres to see Malayalam's latest film Vysanasametham Bandhumithradhikal because of its moving story and performances. The film's director, S Vipin, who also wrote the screenplay, discussed how he developed this story in an exclusive interview.
The director disclosed that Vysanasametham Bandhumithradhikal is inspired by a number of instances that people may have witnessed in their life rather than being based on any particular event. I have created each character in this movie in great detail, and they are all relatable. Although I admire realistic movies, I wanted to use commercial elements in my directorial to make it more appealing to viewers, he said.
"I wanted to make a movie that people could enjoy and have a light-hearted experience in theatres," Vipin continued. For this reason, I have included enough dramatic scenes in the movie. He said, for instance, that the slow motion shot of Siju Wilson's character visiting Anaswara Rajan's Anjali in her house following the death of her grandmother.
According to Vipin, he started working on the screenplay in 2022. "I began working on a thread and eventually finished it, adding all the necessary details at each stage. "I concentrated entirely on crafting a suitable balance between humorous and emotionally charged scenes in the film," the director continued. He also expressed his wish to work on low-budget projects that would undoubtedly amuse viewers. "I like to work on comedy scripts and cast newbies," he stated.
The main character in Vysanasametham Bandhumithradhikal is Anjali, who is affected by her anxious parents, a compulsive fiancé, and an annoying, obsessive lover. Meanwhile, the death of her grandmother causes chaos in her life, her family, and the people around them. Siju Sunny, Joemon Jyothir, Anaswara Rajan, and Azeez Nedumangad all play important parts in the movie.
