Exclusive: Chad Michael Murray on the surprise secret he kept from his wife of 10 years as he returns for Sullivan's Crossing
EXCLUSIVE: For many, Chad Michael Murray will forever be a 2000's teen icon.
To his kids, he's just 'dad'.
The actor returns to screens as the mysterious Cal Jones for the "spicy" new season of romantic drama Sullivan's Crossing.

He rose to fame however in the glimmering 2000's, secretly wooing Jamie Lee Curtis in Freaky Friday (2003), charming Hillary Duff in A Cinderella Story (2004) and stealing hearts as Lucas Scott in One Tree Hill (2003).
His wife had no idea.
"She didn't know," said Chad of his teen heartthrob status. "She genuinely had no idea what I had done when we first worked together."
In the exclusive video above, Chad explains why.
Chad is married to actress and former co-star Sarah Roemer (Disturbia, Fired Up!).
Now married 10 years (and counting) with three beautiful kids, the pair first worked together in 2013 for mystery-drama Chosen. Sarah, sweetly unaware of Chad's acting history.
"It's pretty funny and probably great by the way, she loves me for me," he said with a cheeky grin.

At the end of the last year, Chad was joined by his wife and young kids in Nova Scotia, Canada where he filmed Season 3 of Sullivan's Crossing based on the best-selling novel series.
The family move to Canada was an easy decision.
"[Sarah's] the perfect rock and soulmate for me," Chad beamed.
"She understands this space, she gets what it is that we do [as actors] and we keep our pack together.
"At the same time, she enjoys parts of it too, like making that calendar which was so silly and goofy and fun," he said.
He was, of course, referring to his cheeky Christmas calendar released last year, which some would say was a nod to his heartthrob days.
After all, having fun, telling stories and sharing experiences is what Chad loves most about acting.

"I love to entertain and my way, to feel really connected with all of you, is to tell stories," he said. "To go on these adventures that connect us forever."
Chad's latest adventure sees him back in rural Nova Scotia for the brand new season of Sullivan's Crossing alongside Morgan Kohan and Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls).
Much to the delight of fans, Season 3 explores the romantic relationship between Chad's character Cal and Morgan's character Maggie after one jaw-dropping cliffhanger.

"The show really does have its own life," said Chad. "It's going to be much spicier this year."
