Prudential Zenith Life Insurance, Next Gen Farms empower over 50 women with sustainable gardening skills on International Women’s Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, Prudential Zenith Life Insurance, in partnership with Next Gen farms, a leading agricultural hub, has taken bold steps to empower women through sustainable gardening skills.

Embracing this year’s theme, Accelerate Action, over 50 women were trained in essential gardening techniques, equipping them with the knowledge to practice subsistence farming and enhance food security within their communities.

The initiative underscores Prudential Zenith Life’s commitment to gender empowerment and sustainability. By ensuring that women have access to the tools and skills for economic and food independence, the Company is paving the way for resilient communities.

The hands-on training, facilitated by Kofo Durosinmi-Etti, the lead gardener, included practical lessons on soil preparation, seed planting, and sustainable agricultural practices.

Speaking at the event, Cherise Ige, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Prudential Zenith Life Insurance, emphasized the significance of investing in women’s self-sufficiency: “At Prudential Zenith Life, we recognize that empowering women with sustainable skills is key to fostering economic growth and resilience.
