A WOMAN has been fined and handed six penalty points for allowing a man to use her car without insurance.
Becky Thomson, 31, of Outgang Lane in Bramley, Leeds pleaded guilty to permitting the use of a motor vehicle with no insurance at Kirklees Magistrates' Court last Thursday.
She had previously pleaded not guilty to the offence.
It relates to March 4 last year when Thomson let Irwin Wood use a silver Vauxhall Zafira without insurance to cover him on Corporation Street, in Morley.
The court imposed six points on Thomson's driving licence for the offence and ordered her to pay £227.
This includes, a fine of £108, a surcharge of £34 to fund victim service and costs of £85.
Her guilty plea was taken into account.
