New winter event will illuminate trail in the Parklands this year
As the temperatures dip near freezing, a new winter attraction is sure to warm the hearts of Louisville residents.
Designed to be Louisville’s "premier winter tradition," the Louisville Winter Illuminations Trail Walk will be held in the Parklands of Floyds Fork. According to a news release, the mile-long trail in Beckley Creek Park will feature more than 10 light installations, accompanied with music and nature.
The attraction will run from Nov. 20 through Jan. 3 and will be open Sunday through Thursday from 5:45 to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:45 to 9 p.m. Starting Dec. 18, residents will be able to enjoy the show all seven days of the week.

In accordance with health department the guidelines, the attraction will be a touch-free and socially-distanced activity.
While the final route is still being worked out, officials say the trail will be located in the Humana Grand Allee section of Beckley Creek Park.
