NATIONAL SPORTS

Walker Buehler and the Los Angeles Dodgers have taken a two-games-to-one lead in the World Series. Buehler allowed just three hits while striking out 10 over six innings to help the Dodgers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-2. Buehler no-hit Tampa Bay until Manuel Margot doubled in the fifth.

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is one step closer to making history. Arozarena tied a single-year post-season record with his eighth home run in a World Series Game 3 loss to the Dodgers _ matching the mark shared by Barry Bonds, Carlos Beltran and Nelson Cruz Junior. Arozarena’s ninth-inning blast capped the scoring in a 6-2 final. He’ll have at least two more games to break the record.

Team Penske is pulling out of the Supercars Championship after winning three straight titles with Scott McLaughlin. Penske made the announcement the same day it formally welcomed McLaughlin to its four-car IndyCar lineup for next season. He will make his IndyCar debut in Sunday’s season finale in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The members of Team Matt Dunstone are considering moving out of Saskatchewan to try and salvage their curling season. Frustration had been building since Saskatchewan-based curling teams were advised this month that they had to compete, train and practise within provincial boundaries due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Things hit a boiling point with the last-minute postponement of an event this weekend in Regina. A move – potentially to Alberta – is being discussed by the team.
