Gangnam-Gu of Korea and Korea International Trade Association (KITA) organised the Gangnam Premium Medi & Beauty Fair 2019 in Dubai. The most-sought-after Korean aesthetic solutions exhibition showcased the latest products and solutions including a wide selection of the latest innovations in health and beauty care available to try at the event.
Held at Habtoor Palace Hotel in Dubai from October 9 to 10, the event witnessed presence of senior government officials, leading businessmen and participation of 16 cosmetic surgery clinics and cosmetic companies from South Korea.
The Gangnam Premium Medi & Beauty Fair showcased a wide range of authentic Korean beauty and personal care products in the segments of hair, skin, fragrances and wellbeing. The arrival of Korean beauty fair in Dubai showcasing authentic K-Beauty solutions is embraced by beauty-­lovers from across the region.
Gi Hyun Kim, President of KITA MENA Headquarters, said: "We are glad to organise one of the most successful beauty fair in Dubai. Korean beauty products are increasing their presence in this UAE as the sector offers an expanding market that is also giving local firms a platform for growth. Aesthetic health care and beauty care sector is booming in the UAE, positioning it among the fastest-growing market for beauty products in the world. There has been always a positive growth in the market for beauty and personal care products in the UAE."
"There is a huge popularity for the Korean skincare routine in the UAE. Korea has a fascination with cosmetics and skincare, and we share that with the UAE at this event. In addition to eight beauty product manufacturers, we have lined up at the show eight Korean cosmetic clinics that attract both local and global patrons. Our efforts are to develop markets for Korean medical care in the Middle east," he added.
As a representative city of Medical Tourism in South Korea, Gangnam-gu attracted 378,967 international patients last year with occupancy rates 25 per cent from the total visitors in Korea and it corresponded to 95,237 in number as well as 38.8 per cent from the rate of total visitors in Seoul with the number of 245,463 people.
