The head of the quality examination department of the Bishkek Territorial Department of the Mandatory Medical Insurance Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulmira Cherikova told at a press conference at the Kabar News Agency.

She said that partly patients go to the capital, as there is the necessary equipment, doctors.

“There are excellent doctors, knowledge is excellent in the oblasts. There is only a lack of necessary equipment, laboratory conditions. They are going to Bishkek to undergo magnetic resonance therapy, a computer tomogram. It would be good if we worked on the regions so that there would be the same personnel and equipment,” she expressed her hope.

During the conference, Cherikova focused on how difficult it is for the citizens to receive inpatient treatment.

“Our citizens cannot get into the 6th city hospital. The doctors there are really good, the staff, the conditions are good. People stand in a queue, when one patient is discharged, the ward is vacated, and another is placed in their place. All citizens are hospitalized according to lists. There is also a problem here. When we conducted the analysis in our hospitals, there were cases of unjustified hospitalization, that is, the patient could receive a dropper in a day hospital and so on. Still, inpatient care is expensive, it also includes food, utilities (electricity, heat). We watch so that a patient is hospitalized on a reasonable basis,” she added.
