Bulgaria’s Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev is on a two-day working visit to Romania. Minister Ananiev’ schedule includes meetings with Romania’s Health Minister Sorina Pintea, this country’s Minister of Internal Affairs Carmen Dan and Romania’s Secretary of State- Head of the Department of Emergency Situations at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Raed Arafat. Minister Kiril Ananiev and his Romanian counterpart Sorina Pintea exchanged opinions on the possible future amendments to the health insurance models in the two countries. Minister Ananiev and Minister Dan discussed topics related to the functioning of the Department of Emergency Situations as part of the system of the Ministry of Interior. The main purpose of Minister Ananiev’s visit to Romania is to get acquainted with the structure, the functioning and the management of the Department of Emergency Situations which is a successful integrated model including civil protection activities, emergency medical care, fire safety and actions during disasters and damages.
